KIND is the type of company that we at FBNW aspire to be like. From the top down, every member of the KIND team is focused on making the world a little kinder. KIND empowers their team members to give back to the community throughout the year, which is how we got them on board for our upcoming Food Drop with The Boys & Girls Club – yay for kindness!
KIND wants you to “do the kind thing for your body, your taste buds & your world”. They pride themselves on using only nutritionally-dense whole ingredients. Their idea is simple – if you can’t pronounce an ingredient, it shouldn’t go into your body. What you see is what you get; you can literally identify all the ingredients with a visual scan – nuts, fruit, whole grains without all the nasty preservatives, sweeteners, and artificial flavorings.
But don’t be fooled by their healthy appearance; these aren’t your run of the mill cardboard flavored healthy snacks, not by a long shot! These guys pack a ton of flavor from their basic honey roasted nuts with sea salt bar to a more exotic Korean chili bar made with almonds, pumpkin seeds, black sesame seeds, honey, and a kick of spice. Beyond KIND bars, they also offer healthy grains bars, healthy grains clusters, breakfast bars, pressed by KIND, fruit bites, KIND minis, and popped snack bites – basically enough variations of healthy snacks to replace all items in your pantry.
What really makes KIND unique is their unwavering belief that kindness will make the world a better place. KIND established The KIND Foundation, a 501 (c)(3) organization whose mission is to celebrate and inspire positive actions. Through their programs, they have awarded seven individuals a total of $1.1MM in prizes for their acts of kindness, and each month the Foundation also awards one socially-impactful cause a $10,000 grant.
KIND encourages us all to spread kindness with their #kindawesome cards. If you’ve received one of these cards before and know exactly what I’m talking about, then I guess you are #kindawesome because you were caught doing a kind act. KIND rewards an act of kindness with a free KIND snack! All you have to do is go to KIND’s #kindaawesome webpage to send a digital card to a person that you think deserves to be rewarded for their kind act. The recipient can continue to spread the love and pay it forward by sending another #kindawesome card to someone they catch doing a kind act. How many times can I write #kindawesome in this blog? At least one more time cause I think this program is definitely #KINDAWESOME!
We are honored to be working with such a great organization and we can’t wait to share photos from our August Food Drop with you guys. Stay tuned!
