Join us in our continued efforts to help raise awareness about the hunger issue that affects millions of children in the US. For 24 hours, we will go without food while sharing our experience hour by hour on social media.
Our goal is to have people experience what it's like to go 24 hours without food. This action will help us start a conversation about the issue in hope to inspire more people to help tackle this problem.
In the grand scheme of things, going 24 hours without food will be uncomfortable, but it’s nothing compared to what children from food insecure households have to go through. More than 1 in 5 children in the US are at risk of hunger; among African-American and Latino children, this statistic jumps to 1 in 3. Our small action of going without food for 24 hours is just a taste of what these children face on a weekly, if not daily basis.
Here’s how you can support our movement:
For every photo post of our DAY WITHOUT FOOD symbol with #fbnw #DayWithoutFood, FBNW will give a bag of groceries to a child in need in your honor. Those who participate will also be invited to be a part of a future FBNW Food Drop.
If you want to go above and beyond and share your content directly with us, please email photos, videos, love/support letters to firstname.lastname@example.org for a chance to be featured on our website.
We thank you for supporting our movement and for being a #FBNWDifferenceMaker.
